Competitiveness of broiler in Tondano Utara district, regency of minahasa in north Sulawesi province, Indonesia

The research aims to analyze competitiveness of broiler in District Tondano Utara, Regency Minahasa. Sampling technique utilized was saturated sampling (census method) by taking all existing samples, containing 68 samples the region Utara. Further, data analysis employed Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM). finding shows that PCR (Private Cost Ratio) valuewas less than(<) 1, which 0.65. This means business system cultivated breeders had competitive advantage. Breeder able compete with other regions, instead enabling finance domestic factor private price. Husbandry sector advantage whereas DRCR (Domestic Resources value than (<) representing obtained breeder greater its social cost non-tradable input. In broiler’s case showed 0.96, depicting husbandry comparative since it could related and economically efficient. Therefore is recommended encourage market expansion export through development chicken meat processing industry North Sulawesi.
